Build your business case for an IoT project

IoT mysteries solved

"We need an IoT project" is not a good argument when you want to implement IoT in your business. But how do you do it? Where do you start and what do you need to take into account when building a business case? After our first and second session on Internet of Things we used this final session to break down the process into 6 steps for our members & partners to follow!

1 Medium

The session was divided into 2 main blocks. Six experts were invited for the first part to help our members & partners with one goal: Explain to them how and where to start if you want to implement your own IoT project. In order to make it understandable for our participants we divided the process in to six questions and assigned a speaker to handle each one of them:

  3. Sourcing these building blocks : where and how? - Geert Baeke, Technology Manager - Xylos
  4. How to get value out of the acquired data? - Kris Van der Hoeven, Business Development Manager Digital Industry & IoT - Econocom
  5. Change or die? - Gonda Storms, Executive Partner  Threon
  6. "Help my coffee machine ordered a television" (about security) - Gert De Wever, Senior Systems Engineer -  HPe

For the second part of the session we wanted to give our participants the best chance to have all the questions that they might have answered. So, instead of organising a classic Q & A we switched things up in an "Interactive Q&A market" where our participants could walk up to our experts and get exactly the help that they needed to build their own business case for an IoT project.
