"A warm, welcoming and familiar environment!"  & "ADM is a perfect place to network for a young professional!" were only a few of the positive remarks given by our young participants on 5 October. We gave them the chance to meet a few of the ADM board members and discover the true meaning of our tagline "Share & Connect".

The session was kicked off by our ADM chairman, Jan De Schepper, who was enthusiastic to meet the young professionals but also had an important message; "Trends show that in 2030 50% of all employees will be millenials ànd that more than 50% off all employees worldwide will be over 60 years old. So, being able to work together is paramount if we want to succeed"

Networking = the key to success!

Jan went on to further explain the importance of a network. No matter what your career goals are, if you have a good network you can achieve anything! But the young professionals present at De Melkerij didn't have to take our word for it! We divided them in to small groups for speeddating sessions with our members of the ADM board.

During 4 seperate sessions the young professionals had the chance to meet several board members and discuss various subjects:

  • New Way of Working
  • Bring your own device
  • Work-life balance
  • How to organise your organisation: organisational structures
  • Receive/give feedback or evaluation
  • How to make fans of your employees & keep it that way
  • Jobhopping vs. staying in the same job/organisation
  • The importance of “extra benefits”
  • Cafetariaplan: Paycheck vs. other benefits
  • Implementing new technologies vs. Keeping current technologies
  • The importance of coaching & training
  • Performance oriented work vs. Hour oriented work
