IPARC, in collaboration with Proximus, created Smartcare, an online platform that monitors the climatological conditions of artworks. The platform uses sensors that monitor unexpected changes in the environment, enabling staff to intervene when such a change occurs. This convenient solution has made artwork conservation and damage prevention more efficient than ever before.

In the course we will have the possibility to see parts of the exquisite Proximus Art Collection.

IPARC-an acronym for International Platform for Art Research and Conservation-represents a versatile, multi-disciplinary conservation and restoration platform offering specialized and highly professional services in conservation and restoration. With a team of qualified restorers, who each represent a speciality, we are working on old and modern masters, modern materials and contemporary art, wood, polychromy, stone, metal, textile and paper.
