How are other companies dealing with innovation? (2)

During our session on 1 December at Living Tomorrow, representatives of these 5 companies presented briefly how they are driving innovation by using technology.

• Acerta digitized its internal processes and turned them into a self-service product for their customers. The biggest challenge however is the change process from automating internal processes to automating the customer’s diverse processes.
• bpost has developed an innovation framework for maturing the ideas with the highest potential.
• Doccle is a cooperative collaboration among partners. In hardly 2 years’ time the startup has resulted in a fully grown and successful organization.
• Veritas is extensively using social media to meet, follow up on and communicate with its customers – preparing the organization for the digital future.
• The Flemish Government is trying to become a demand driven Open Data supplier by including its stakeholders in the innovation process.

During the discussion and the brainstorming rounds, we turned the tables and the speakers could ask the other participants for suggestions on how to improve their innovation processes. Although the nature of all participants’ businesses is very different, everybody went home with sound advice and tips they will use in their own working situation.
