Inspiring Innovation @ Telenet Innovation Center

‘Collaboration is the key to innovation’. That’s what Ineke Rampart (Director Corporate Affairs) and Rajiv Seesurn (Director Telenet Innovation Center) told us during their presentations at the Telenet Innovation Center (TIC). 

Telenet wants to focus on innovation and they want to do so in collaboration with their business partners and academic partners but also with start-ups and scale-ups.

Ineke gave a brief introduction about Telenet, talking about their activities and the importance of innovation within these activities. Using innovation, they can offer better and more adapted products to their clients. 

Director of the Telenet Innovation Center, Rajiv enthusiastically explained what the TIC does and what the goals are for the future. Telenet works with external and internal partners in an ecosystem, which provides for faster and more efficient innovation and it validates new and innovative services and technologies.

Momentarily, Telenet is focussing on two growth engines, the Internet of Things and 5G. Some examples of successful collaborations in these fields are the “Pet Tracker”, an AR self install app for Digicorders (In The Pocket) and a digital personal assistant (Spencer). 

Then it was time to explore! After visiting the Data Room, the attendees were welcomed into the Test Lab to discover possible applications and to fire all their questions at Rajiv and his colleagues.
