An organisation such as De Lijn faces a lot of challenges when preparing for the future. How will they cope with the ever changing world and digitisation? Tonight, Roger Kesteloot presented his strategy for the coming decade…
Beyond public transportation
De Lijn is
planning to transform from offering public transportation to providing a
variety of mobility services. They want to go further than the classic public
transport systems. De Lijn wants to integrate in the society and the every day lives of the end customer by offering innovative services and products.
A 5G strategy

De Lijn wants to improve its operational excellence and its customer centricity. In order to achieve this, they have decided to work on 5 different domains:
- Geïntegreerd (Integrated)
- Gepersonaliseerd (Personal)
- Gedeeld (Shared)
- Groen (Green)
- Geautomatiseerd (Automated)
In and across these different domains, De Lijn has planned many projects and actions for the upcoming years. This proves that a public organisation has to keep a lot of plates spinning. Their transparent strategy makes it very clear that De Lijn is prepared for (the day after) tomorrow.
