2023, the year when CoderDojo Belgium is celebrating its 10th anniversary. This marks a decade of inspiring young minds. The mission of CoderDojo: offer children and teenagers (aged 7-18) free coding sessions. These sessions take place monthly at over 130 locations across Flanders, Brussels, and Wallonia. What makes CoderDojo special is that each Dojo is run entirely by volunteers.
Tonight, we invite you to discover the world of CoderDojo.
Martine Tempels, the Chairperson and founder, will share the story of how it all began and discuss the importance of organizations like CoderDojo in a world where STEM skills are increasingly vital, and job vacancies in these fields remain unfilled.
But that's not all: we want to give you a taste of what a Dojo experience is like. Just like the young participants, you'll have the opportunity to delve into programming or controlling a robot. It's a chance to experience the joy of creating and learning within the vibrant CoderDojo community.
