Sabine Everaet voted CIO of the Year
Congratulations to ADM member Sabine Everaet (CIO Coca-Cola Europe) for winning the CIO of the Year title, a prestigious Data News Award.
Sabine Everaet (age 44) has boundless energy and a real passion for her job. After graduating as a commercial engineer from the Catholic University of Leuven, she started her career at KPMG Management Consulting and then went to Price Waterhouse Management Consultants. She joined the Coca-Cola Company in 1995. There she developed an impressive career, first working as a business analyst for North West Europe and then two years later as IT Account Director for Benelux and France. From 2002 she was in charge of several outsourcing, insourcing and offshoring projects, which resulted in substantial savings. Five years later, Sabine Everaet became Deployment Services Director, with worldwide responsibility for a standardised SAP-based data and process solution for its bottlers. For the past two years, this dynamic mother of two children has been the European CIO of the Coca-Cola Company. She has been renegotiating outsourcing contracts for infrastructure and end-user computing. “The Finance and HR transformation is now complete. Of course, we are continuing to focus on improving processes and systems, supported by a robust release management process and with the close involvement of our users. Today we are focusing on the consumerisation of IT and unified collaboration, with the emphasis on digital and mobile platforms to develop proactive communication with and targeted marketing to our customers.” Explains Everaet. The continuous streamlining of processes and systems in relation to bottlers in Europe is also on the agenda. Sabine Everaet clearly sets a high standard for herself and her staff. This year she has deservedly been nominated European CIO of the Year by CIOnet. Last year too, she was in the Data News Top 3 of Belgian CIOs. (Information via Data News.)
