National Home Working Day - 8 December
On Thursday, December 8, the second National Home Working Day will be organised in Belgium. As the “New Way of Working” is one of the topics (tracks) to be covered by ADM during 2012, we are endorsing this initiative.
The goal of this initiative is to convince as many people as possible to work from home on this home working day. Each individual participation matters to reduce the CO² emission and to improve mobility and quality of life.
Just like last year, we want to convince authorities, employers and employees alike of the importance of working in a flexible way. If our country wants to stay successful in the coming years, we should think of alternative ways to work, like e.g. home working. Are management and employees ready to introduce homework? Is the company culture stimulating this? What are the legal implications of this transit? Does the company has the right IT infrastructure and should the office lay-out be changed…?
We only can speak of a success when a lot of organisations participate in the National Homeworking Day. That is the only way to realise significant returns in productivity and environmental protection.
