Driving innovation
“Good ideas are valuable, but even more necessary are good teams to put them into practice" explained Peter Dedrij, Director Microsoft Innovation Center Vlaanderen during our visit to the MIC
During the first part of our visit, Peter explained the “why” and “how” of the concept of the innovation center and answered the many questions from the audience.
In a second part, we discovered some projects that are currently being studied: applications in the cloud (regardless of the platform used), solutions for healthcare using gaming technology, hard- and software developments that can be used by people with a physical or mental problem, interesting learning methods. ..
And yes, some ad hoc testing was allowed! During the tour it became also clear that the expression "boys and their toys" is no longer correct. Let the pictures below speak for themselves...
This visit showed us at least a part of the MIC's purpose: to inspire, to create ideas. Maybe in a next phase some of our members will take it a step further and use this inspiration to develop new solutions?
