ADM innovation track kicks off with three brilliant speakers
Three experienced speakers from the ADM network provided the formal kick-off for the new track on innovation.
Hendrik Blokhuis (CTO Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia for Cisco) and Sam Sluismans (Director Innovation Management Deloitte) shared the visions of their companies on innovation, and this in a very pragmatic, open and honest way. Nicolas Collette (VP Business Development Digital Wave) testified how Telenet had quickly realised that innovation can make all the difference, and how the company applies this in concrete terms.
Whatever the approach taken, the three gentlemen strongly agreed on two issues:
- innovation must be part of the company culture, it is not a one-off activity
- innovation can only be successful if it is supported by people at the top of the company
Based on the suggestions made during the latter part of the programme and (especially) afterwards during the networking session, a number of interactive sessions will be set up in the course of the next few months where participants can learn from each other’s experience in a pragmatic way.
