EVENT – Electronic Vouchers for Events using NFC Technology In this particular project, Artesis University College of Antwerp (dept. of Applied Engineering – e-lab research group) and K.U.Leuven (dept. electrical engineering – COSIC research group) are aiming at introducing RFID and NFC technology for payments into the Flemish event industry, for professional as well as leisure events.
Stefaan Hermans has been working for Carglass for more than 25 years now, first as an ICT manager for Belgium and Luxembourg, and now as Operations Director. With these credentials, ADM could not have imagined a better speaker for “Where business needs ICT”. In fact, the inspiration for this format of the Foyer came during a conversation with Stefaan Hermans.
Does software quality matter? It seems to be a purely technical question, but during the ADM info session held on 1 March it became clear that software that is carefully written and available in modular form can save a business a lot of money.

‘Knowledge is power’ and this is truer than ever. On 24 February some 60 ADM members came to the Business Faculty for a seminar on collecting and sharing knowledge. The reason being that nowadays this happens completely differently to about 10 years ago.
