ADM - Where Business and ICT meet

ADM brings together people who can each offer a different point of view on ICT

At De Lijn we are currently defining the ICT strategy for the next 5 years. Moreover my team is responsible for managing the ICT project portfolio in alignment with the ICT strategy. In this constantly changing environment,  it is very important for a company to obtain as much useful information as possible. From this viewpoint ADM offers exceptional added value. During the meetings you learn from other companies and they learn from us. Recently I also become part of the work group on architecture. The active can-do attitude that governs there will undoubtedly mean added value.

Personally I find the information sessions a must. They deal with subjects that every company is now discussing, such as IT governance, Cobit, ITIL processes or service level agreements. What is particularly interesting here is that a theoretical component is always linked to a real-life case. Moreover, after the presentations you talk to people who often have a different way of dealing with ICT. Together they form a unique combination that you cannot find anywhere else: people from the business community, the government or education, consultants, suppliers… In this way ‘ICT’ is broken open. After all, people who deal with ICT in a different way offer another point of view.

It is just this combination of perspectives that makes membership of ADM advantageous. Technology is evolving and an organisation has to evolve along with it. ADM helps you to gain an insight into the one and is a stimulus for the other.
